After, psychologists review results with patients and make treatment recommendations. Next, there is also psychotherapy that is for most private practice owners. Graduate psychologists supervise interns is a way to give back to the community and help students gain the necessary experience. Also, administration is a lot of managing the business, the legal side of the role and there is more when you are a psychologist in a private practice. Finally, there is a lot of continuing education to complete and maintain their license each year.

Also, if a psychologist has a private practice, they sometimes manage unique billing challenges, such as communicating with insurance companies, filing out extensive paperwork and contacting patients who haven't paid their bills on time.The inconsistent schedule can be erratic and unbalanced, because many patients call the psychologist without notice asking for help for example. Finally, during their bachelor's degree or their doctorate, psychologists need to do extensive clinic education and internship which can be hard to organize.
